Meet Anna Paa; our Project Manager. Anna’s skill set and overall role is imperative to the Engagement Team and contributes to Affari’s every day development. Her radiant personality is admired by both her colleagues and clients!

How did you find your way to Affari?

Before Affari, I was at Nottingham Trent University studying Media and I was set on going back to my home town of Macclesfield once I had graduated, as I still wasn’t sure what it was I wanted to go on and pursue.

However, NTU provided me with details to login to an online job portal one day, which is where I first came across Affari as they had an open position for a Graphic Designer. I applied thinking ‘Why not?!’ but didn’t expect to receive a response.

That’s when our Marketing Manager Emma got back to me, and offered me an interview for a Project Management role that had just come up! I accepted, passed the interview stage and here I am!

What are the three best things about yourself?

The first thing would be that I am pretty good at making breakfast, especially my scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, this is where my cooking skills stop.

The second would be that I consider myself to be good at buying people gifts. I observe and read people quite well and have a good memory of what their likes and dislikes are.

Lastly, I am the best Office DJ. I know what type of music everyone likes and I always lift up the mood, especially Monday mornings and Friday afternoons!

What’s one of your best experiences?

My best experience has to be when I saw Queen B live in Manchester two years ago, (Beyoncé for those who aren’t aware). This is my best experience as she’s not only a Queen but she is amazingly talented as she can sing and dance at the same time AND her outfits are majorly on point. The overall atmosphere was incredible!

What other interests do you have other than Affari?

I have a keen interest in fashion, I like to keep myself updated on what’s new or trending within the industry… which usually results in shopping!

Another would be that I consider myself an explorer. I’m always venturing in my spare time finding new places especially cafes or bars. I like to see what’s out there rather than going to same places.

What’s your favourite quote and why?

“The best things in life, aren’t things” – Because it’s not always about the materialistic things that we need to appreciate. It’s about time, company, happiness and experiences.

What’s #1 on your bucket list?

Number #1 on my bucket list is to attend New York Fashion Week and watch one of the famous runways.

What drink best describes you?

A Gin Bramble – because it’s sweet, strong and nice to look at!

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

“A day in the life of a GURLL”

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not, living or dead, real or fictional, with whom would it be?

I’d trade with Polly Shelby from Peaky Blinders. Because she’s a strong, independent woman who doesn’t take any stick from anyone which is amazing, especially because of the era the programme is set in (1920’s). Plus whilst doing all of this, she has great style!
