We are delighted to announce that following Korie Cull’s nomination into the Guardian’s Rising Star award, he has now been shortlisted!

Our Senior Graphic Designer Korie has many talents, among which is beating anyone who dare challenge him on Dark Souls, Skateboarding (without ever breaking a bone) and he can speak Japanese! But luckily for us, he’s also a pretty amazing Designer, which has led to him being shortlisted for The Guardian’s Rising Star Showcase. Korie is now in the final 3, with the winner being announced in an Awards ceremony in May. This is a feat both Affari and Korie (when he’s not being his usual humble self) are immensely proud of. It has been just 2 years since Korie graduated from Staffordshire University after studying BA Hons Concept Design. We snatched Korie up as soon as he emerged as a fresh faced graduate and he has been with us ever since.

Recognitions of Achievement

This accomplishment is ‘the cherry on top of the cake’ for Korie as the recognitions of achievement just keep rolling in, with one of his projects for our major client Fujitsu recently being shortlisted for the B2B Marketing Awards, the awards ceremony being held at the HAC in London in November.

Korie’s unique and adept approach to creative disciplines, client communication and account development has led to increased revenues for Affari along with a growing reputation for us within the tech industry of delivering fantastic design expertise that engages and realises excellent ROI for our clients.

It’s an absolute privilege to have such a talented individual in our team and it’s fantastic that Korie has been acknowledged for his outstanding achievements over the last couple of years. Korie was employed through the Nottingham Job’s Fund, a scheme we are committed to here at Affari that ensures the recruitment of skilled Nottingham locals. Korie was also Affari’s first employee, so it’s very humbling to see him performing so well, Co-Founder Craig Brothers remarks:

“It’s safe to say that we hired the right guy!”

Since his time here, Korie has helped secure our major account Fujitsu and has created some incredible work for them, among which was the Fujitsu ‘Storage Papers project‘, which has also been shortlisted for ‘The Most Commercially Successful’ campaign at the B2B Awards 2014 this November.

We know that there’s even more achievements due to come rolling in, not just for Korie, but for the whole team here at Affari Media. We are committed to what we do and we love what we do… and we have a great team doing it all! We are dedicated to ensuring that our team members receive praise when such phenomenal work is being produced for the company, so we will be keeping and framing Korie’s newspaper clipping from The Guardian like a proud Mother! Well Done Korie!
