Amadria Park operates luxurious 4*+ hotels in multiple locations across Croatia. They have a rich heritage, having been trading since 1904 when they first opened a restaurant in the town of Benkovac.
Amadria Park approached us after their re-brand when a strategic decision was made to merge two existing hospitality brands to form Amadria Park. This, however, brought with it the challenge of building a brand new website, of which we were more than happy to be of service! Our objectives were simple, we wanted to create a user-friendly, streamlined booking experience for customers, as well as encourage an engaging journey into Amadria Park’s beautiful hotels and resorts, alongside immersing customers into their wonderful story and history.

Process: Discovery workshop, user personas, journey mapping.
We invited the Amadria Park team to a two-day ‘discovery workshop’ that was formulated to map out a strategic plan. This included identifying the challenges they were facing and understanding the audience they wished to engage with further. During this, we were able to dissect the Amadria Park brand, including its limitations and areas for future development. In addition, we were able to better understand the configuration of the current website from the perspective of key stakeholders.
After we had gained a comprehensive understanding of Amadria Parks’ strategic objectives, we completed a series of exercises centred around user personas and journeys, designed to keep the customer at the front of the mind at all times.

Process: Imagery, typography, colour.
Following the workshop, our team moved to the design phase where we created a set of style guides. The design stage allowed us to apply the insights we gained from the workshop to the visual concepts we put forward to the client. We then studied some of the best (and worst) booking systems in the industry, analysing the pro’s and con’s of each to deliver a custom product and user experience that solved many of the issues with Amadria’s current system.
In addition to the main booking platform, we designed a responsive, interactive experience that dives deep into the rich heritage of Amadria Park. This helped to deliver their history in a format that is engaging and viewable across all devices.

Process: Coding, CMS integration and deployment.
Once Amadria Park was excited by the style guide and gave us their amendments on each design element, our team worked towards translating the feedback into a functional, responsive website using HTML, CSS and Javascript. Once complete, we began the integration into our chosen CMS of WordPress. We chose WordPress as Amadria Park have many employees and a large number of properties to manage, WordPress was a suitable choice for their team, utilising its capabilities for custom page types and user roles. Please feel free to explore the final version below.
