VR Experience

Our gamified game-changer, SOC VR, is transforming the user experience of marketing for complex services and infrastructure. SOC VR is a virtual space allowing targeted audiences to explore how Fujitsu’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Warrington deals with the most notorious and catastrophic cyber threats we face.

A revolutionary concept

Step into the shoes of cyber spooks and combat cybercrime with SOC VR! Learn how threats are assessed and dealt with, working with virtual teams similar to those stationed at SOC in Warrington as you go. The experience is designed to replicate a high-stakes scenario where time is of the essence, if you make the wrong decision time is deducted to increase the pressure.

We created an entirely virtual and gamified environment with four interactive scenarios covering threats such as phishing attacks, VPN vulnerabilities, and ransomware. The first scenario is ‘Endpoint Attack’. An endpoint is a vulnerable point of entry for cybercriminals – i.e. a remote device, such as a laptop or smartphone, which communicates back and forth with its connected networks and servers.

A competitive edge

SOC VR is a dynamic, interactive, and self-directed experience, placing Fujitsu advantageously in the proverbial Catbird Seat. The applications of SOC VR are numerous, as it can be used to give personal presentations, or on the road at conferences and networking events.

Optimised accessibility & engagement

The completely mobile multi-scenario experience has been designed and developed for the latest standalone VR headset – Meta Quest 2. This removes the need for any additional hardware and overcomes geographical barriers, saving Fujitsu time and money. It can be accessed wirelessly and offline from anywhere, removing the need for prospective clients to visit the Centre in Warrington.

SOC VR is an educational marketing asset, which aims to maximise engagement and information retention among audiences. The user enjoys a high level of interactivity, moving objects with their hands, navigating a virtual SOC of the future, and speaking to virtual teams to diagnose and solve cyber threats.

Using the latest in tech

After storyboarding and scripting, SOC VR was sculpted using Epic’s Unreal Engine, making the experience seamless and visually engaging. To remove the need for in-person delivery, we built a package to send electronically to clients. The experience takes mere minutes to install and can be tested in the VR space. SOC VR can also be updated remotely, adding to the ease of delivery.

It’s no wonder why SOC VR has been recognised by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and awarded the accolade of Excellence in Innovation (2021).

Affari Media were the proud recipients of the Excellence In Innovation Award 2021
from East Midlands Chamber (sponsored by HSBC) for our interactive mobile VR solution!
